For my 4th cross country trip, we took the high route to see some new places. Left San Diego Monday morning. Stayed a night in Vegas at the Stadium Swim Circa Hotel. Great place!! Loved watching Football in the pool on a huge screen.

Next stop Antelope Canyon, Page Arizona. Beautiful. Stayed at a simple hotel in town, walking distance to anything there. Had dinner at a brewery, visited Lake Powell which is unbelievably low. Toured the upper Antelope Canyon. Get tickets early for the 1pm time slot. That is when the sun is shining through the best. Now we have 2 looooong drives to try and land us in Nashville on the weekend. Staying there for 2 nights. However we’ve been staying in touch with crew on board and there is a hurricane headed right for Tennessee.

We decided Tennessee was off the tour, which bummed my co pilot out, so for her we may as well head back to the boat. So a relaxing fun filled weekend in Nashville turned into 3 more days of driving arriving back at the boat ahead of schedule.

Stopped at a birthday party in Palmetto Fl then headed back to the boat on Sunday. Here we find our first mate has been promoted to captain, a new first mate has been hired, and our original captain has been let go…Hopefully this program doesn’t change too much as I’d hate to have to drive the jeep back to San Diego, if I can’t find any work here!
