I received a text from a Captain I met while in Sag Harbor. She and I became great friends and have stayed in touch over the last 3 years. She text me yesterday. The owner of a 52ft Catamaran in Honolulu Hawaii, needs a Captain and mate. He reached out to her to see if she is interested. She reached out to me and said “wanna get off that river boat?” I told her I’d love to work for her, get me off this duckin boat (spell check changed my word for me) ha ha.
She is in Florida, the owner is in Hawaii so there is a 6 hour time difference slowing communication down. I know a lot of jobs sound awesome in the beginning, and then once details are revealed, it may not be a good fit. I’m trying not to get my hopes up, but it’s hard not to!

Something that made me feel good last night, while I was piloting; captain told others in the bridge that he wishes he had 6 Stacys. It just goes to show the difference in work ethic between a 20 year old, and an old lady. Ha Ha.
Here’s sending you good thots and prayers🙏 that you can get off the river boat. If it’s meant to be….it always works out.
