And we made it!

Rough, rough seas slowed us down a lot. There were a couple of times i went over an evacuation plan in my head. I just feel like “delivery” captains just don’t care about the boat. I may be wrong, but that has been my experience with this captain. YB saw diverse weather and told capt to stay another day where we were. We did not listen. But I thoroughly trust this captain, so I wasn’t too scared.

The Keurig coffee maker handle was up and flopping up and down with the waves. It totally looked like he was scared cause his mouth would open wide whenever I’d lose my tummy (like you do in a roller coaster) and then it would close on our way up a wave…

This kept me giggling for longer than it should have.

We arrived safely in the exact spot we were 3 years ago. My friends that are on another yacht, saw me pull in and came to greet me. It feels like I was gone a week, not years. We made good time, so as soon as lines were situated, I gave her a bath. YB and GF showed up about 5 I think

I’m really starting to believe this is going to be a very different experience for me. YB has been consistently pressing me to NOT work so hard. GF makes sure I know all future plans, as soon as she knows, so I’m not in chaos mode. Everyday about 2 he starts yelling at me to get off the boat. Today he said “in all seriousness, I know you have a good work ethic, I just want you to have fun, and this to be a partnership and a friendship, not just a boss/employer thing. Please make time to enjoy yourself, there is always tomorrow to get that spot

Embracing it 💯
