New Mexico to very familiar territory..Laughlin Nevada

In all of my travels, I haven’t really missed home while I’m away. But the first time I flew home from the yacht and saw familiar streets and buildings, I cried

Today, my last stop before my moms is Laughlin. It’s about 6-7 hours away from home and I’ve been here many times for different reasons. Sometimes to enjoy the casinos on the river, and sometimes to boat on the river and lake Havasu.

Now that I’m here, I feel a sense of comfort in the memories I’ve made here. 1) At a friends house, sinking the floating island after too many orange dreams 2) taking the water taxi when I was 3 months pregnant with Rylee. 3) my brother and a friend sloshing through our hotel room because they floated down the river instead of taking the water taxi home 4) not listening to a guy friend when he told me and my single friend, if we left our group, do NOT get on any boats with strangers..my friend and I found the first bachelor party boat and asked them for a ride just to go passed our friend who told us this behavior would be unacceptable (and by the way, that ended up being one of the funnest memories) and most recently, spending the weekend right before I left for my adventure with some friends who have a home here.

I sat with my toes in the river just watching all of the boaters go by creating their own memories. None of which looked as fun as mine. Ha ha. Tomorrow..I cross the California border in the Jeep that I thought would never see this coast again!
