Went in to work yesterday. Supposed to rain, so we moved shelves and deep cleaned everything for a few hours and came home. This morning, I was just about ready to walk out the door and I got the call that we weren’t going to open again today.
This presents a problem when you go from making 1600 a week in California, to 1000 a week as a deckhand (with no living expenses) to 800 a week as a beach bar worker. (with all living expenses)
I can’t use my beach bar money to subsidize my income. A close eye will be kept!
My landlord is the sweetest thing. She checks in with me frequently to make sure my stay is comfortable and if I need anything. We have good chats.
Yep, that may be an issue. Why do they not open on rainy days? Seems like they could stay open with limited staff? Maybe you need to work on that thought process for them. LOL

Because it’s on the beach there is a deck with tables and shade umbrellas as well as in the sand. No tables are protected from rain. The only people who visit the cafe and bar are the beach goers

I could see that being an issue.
Im sure you’ll keep all of this in mind
