Adopt laziness?

The owner of my work establishment, I’ve seen twice and met briefly once..as I was busy and couldn’t chat.

He has been chatting with my manager about me, and I feel like I’m being groomed for something harder because they can’t find people who work like I do.

My manager tells me a few nights ago, she’s going to teach me the kitchen, so her whole staff is cross trained well. Then I come to work this morning and she says, “boss wants you in the bar” so I focus on learning their drinks and how they make them. I’m in the thick of it and I hear the owner (who is 30 years younger than me) yell “bartender stacy!”

I do a little dance…cause Stacy’s in da house! Ha ha. Then I notice he is sitting in one of the lounge chairs relaxing. What! He never hangs out here. So I’m faced with a decision. Do I slack off and work like everyone else while he’s watchful, or? Just kidding I can’t slack off.

One of my coworkers said, “I think he’s wanting you to bartend here AND the other location. Well’p I’m 54 years old, I AM a hard worker, but I know the terms of my hiring and I can respectfully say, no thank you. The other place is not run like family, you are a number on a production line. I did not sign up for that!

This week will be slow as we are expecting rain most everyday. So I’ll be tourist, day drinking stacy!

My GiGi should be on her way to Bahamas. Ex boss, I believe hired the gal I interviewed before I left. Neither of them know anything about that boat, so I’m surprised my phone isn’t blowing up with questions.
