Mentally exhausted

Because this is a vacation destination. It is jam packed with “snowbirds”. All hotels are at maximum (Covid capacity) and any rooms that remain. Are triple the normal price.

Left my hotel to go to my interview. The lady that interviewed me, asked the right questions, which informed me all that I needed to know about them. They are like family. Everyone knows and does everyone’s job. So cross training will be amazing.

She said the job is yours if you want it. Now my real work starts. Finding housing in a place where hotels are full, VRBO’s are booked, air b&b…booked, which scatters to short term rentals being booked which makes me need to look too far away for my job. I spent all morning looking for a house, apartment, room in a house for rent; finally found a furnished apartment. Set up a time to meet the manager. GPS says 45 minute drive. I’m forced…I need “something”. Then I try to factor in tourist traffic equation and agree to meet the manager hoping that’s what would take me so long. Nope. It really is that far without traffic. I cancel the meeting and turn around

It’s getting late, so I hope that all of the potential places I reached out to this morning respond soon. I need somewhere to stay tonight so I’m looking at the triple rate hotel rooms. Even those were sold out. Decided to go back to where I was last night, as Atleast I know it’s safe and clean. even though I was forced to spend over $700 for 2 nights… I start work Monday morning. So I have a few days to figure it out!

  1. Wander is right! Too bad you didn’t find something closer. Maybe talk the nice lady that hired you and see if she knows of anything. I’m hoping this all works out for you💕
