One year later

It blows my mind that one year ago today was my last day at my desk. One year ago I began my journey, and reading through these blogs, I feel so very blessed to have seen the places I’ve seen, to gain yacht knowledge, to begin my Island travels, and the friends I’ve made along the way.

So very excited to see where this next year leads me!

  1. I love reading about your adventures! I am amazed at all you have done! Can you explain about the crew quarters? How does that work?

    1. Crew quarters are different in every boat. The bigger the boat the more amenities. I was the only crew member so I had private quarters. A bed, closets, shower, sink and toilet. Bigger boats have multiple beds and a crew common area with kitchen and seating area. Crew housing may be what you were asking about. These are homes that people rent out to crew that are in between boats. You can rent a shared bedroom or private bedroom in a shared house. For more money you can rent a private villa all to yourself. Shared housing is more fun, cause you get to network. These units are rented weekly as typically you don’t stay in them long term

      2. Thanks Heather. It’s truly been an amazing year. So exciting to not know what I’m going back to. Will I end up on another yacht? Will I end up at a beach bar? Or could something different come along? Ha ha so fun.
