My last night at anchor on GiGi

A previous guest joined us for an outing to lunch and a night at anchor. Love her, she is young and very strong willed. When I sat down to relax with a glass of wine, she came up stairs to chat. She and my boss had a long talk while they ate lunch. She has known him for 15 years and he shared his version of why I’m leaving, she was able to see the truth.

She told him that I was not leaving because I was moved back to crew quarters, but that this boat is my home and when the shit hit the fan he didn’t have my back.

Later he asked me to come join them on the swim platform. He tells me he will so miss me. I was a good partner, I am an honorable woman. Then the guest said to him. “Say we were married, and you had a guest threaten me and I want them off the boat, what are you going to do” he replies “get stacy”. I laughed and she said no! That is not her job, there are boundaries. He interrupted her and like a little kid said “I don’t know why you wouldn’t get stacy, she fixes everything.” He and I laughed but she wasn’t havin it. She was bound and determined to set him straight.

But at the end of the night I think he still feels, my belongings would not have been touched if they were not in the guest room. They should have been in crew quarters.

He asked me to come back should I return to yachting. But I really feel I need to experience the atmosphere and program on another yacht, so I have something to compare this to. I mean yacht owners are a different breed, it could be better or it could be worse. I won’t know till I try. But I do know for certain, whoever he hires will never fill my shoes
