Since giving my 2 weeks notice I’ve started to prepare for my transition. Boss comes back to Miami on Saturday, I think. I’ll need to return the items he asked me to remove from his house while the thief/guest was staying there. I’ll make arrangements for SAFE parking for the Jeep. I will fly to St. Thomas on Monday.
Before I secure housing, I want to check out an island called Jost Van Dyke. It’s a short ferry ride from St. Thomas. It has a nice marina where I’m sure I can get day work and it has several beach bars I can also apply to.
This is so surreal, to be able to just think about what I want to do and plan it! I’m so freakin excited!
It’s a very small island tho, so I may end up on St. Thomas for a while. I mean, I want to own a bar and I’ve never even worked in one. Probably a good idea to focus on that. I also haven’t ruled out the (food truck) idea on water. I just saw one here the other day. They drove to where all of the yachts were anchored. You call them, place your order and they deliver food to your boat. Pretty cool!

I’m so very excited as well! He doesn’t know my plans yet. He’s still in Colorado. He only knows I gave my 2 week notice. And his response was “well there’s a surprise, I thought we were closer than that”. Since then all texts have been short and to the point regarding the boat repairs I’m over seeing. He returns to miami Saturday
