New old acquaintances

Got a text from CBC Joey “you about here yet?” I said unfortunately no, we are in Palm Beach until after a thanksgiving. He says “well I’m gonna drive my truck to you and get my stuff”. I don’t know why, but that felt like home.

To hear one of the first people I met in the Hamptons, and my security blanket while I was there say he was driving a vehicle to me. Was odd and so exciting. Some sort of normalcy from the life we knew this summer. My Jeep is only a few hours away, his truck was in the parking lot…when I saw him I hugged the biggest hug I could, and said I am so happy to see someone I know

His eyes went straight to my teeth. So I explained I went home in October. Decided to do veneers a certain way, that way changed mid appointment, so I have reshaped teeth, with no temporary, just a clear retainer trying to hold everything in its place til I get home for Xmas. We had a drink, he filled me in on his job. It’s amazing and he is happy. As soon as I get back to miami he’s going to show me around the bars.

The place we’re at is Sailfish Marina. Adorable with a fun tiki bar and restaurant.
