Now I’m the worker AND the guest

When I applied for this job. It was deckhand, let me say that again. Deckhand. It slowly turned into deckhand/stew. Then deckhand/stew/engineer/captain/relationship counselor.

Now that my boss is taking a break from guests for a while, he needs company. Well, I have a job. I have things I need to accomplish in my time while the boat is idol. And now I have to hurry because he needs someone to see the sites with.

But I rally, after working super hard for 7 hours. I just wanna sit. But he wants to go. So he helps me the last 5 minutes, and I halfway put myself together. We Uber to where he knows I will love. The Beach Boardwalk. Beach Volleyball, bars, restaurants, live music. I quickly wake up. We meet a mom and daughter from Boston. At a beach bar. Where the bartender writes notes on your cup. Totally fun! Excellent conversation, many laughs. Then a wonderful dinner.

But the BEST part of my night was when my daughter Rylee called and we talked forever. Can’t wait to see my whole family next month!

Plus I still have daily contact with my East coast family. CBC Joey has been in Florida for a while and can’t wait to show me around. Captain Anna is now doing deliveries, working for herself, Captain Harvey and wife Gila are getting ready to make their way South. Captain Billy was a tremendous help with our boat issues. Captain Tim is still stuck in Jarrett Bay with Boat repairs. but we will all see each other again in Florida!
