Family is everything

Today is my 54 birthday. During my boat wash, I speak to each of my family members at home in California. I make plans to go to dinner with my dock family in Sag Harbor,NY. As I go about my day, I realize tonight is going to be like any other night. At the end of the day. I go to dinner with someone from my neighborhood. sometimes it’s one person. Sometimes it 6 people. So tonight will be no different. I share that with my oldest daughter, that without my family it’s just another day

So I finish my work day. Gather the friends that are available to go and we head out for a restaurant out of Sag Harbor. Little did I know. My oldest daughter Jenna was using our locations app to track me. Once I stopped, she located the restaurant information and called to order a bottle of wine for the birthday girl. The bartender said “this is a great idea, but how in the heck am I gonna know which customer is your mom?”

My daughter replies..”she ALWAYS wears a tiara for her Birthday. even though she is over 3,000 miles away from home. I’m certain she will be wearing a tiara.

And here I am..3,000 miles away from my daughter. Holding the bottle of wine she ordered for me! Heart melted. 🎤 DROPPED
