Don’t know why I get Pedi’s

This was a dramatic day. CBC Joey has been at odds with his boss for a while…which I’m learning is typical in this industry. You live in such close quarters. The type of people that own yachts have no problem spending $10,000 to enhance the fun then complain about $50 spent on maintaining the boat. And we as captains/deckhands do not fit into the enhance fun category

Last night I’m drying the boat while listening to the drama unfold on my boat, I see CBC Joey’s boss walking down the dock, and Joey is not home with the boat. I say “tony is everything ok? You left on a yacht and returned on foot”. He says “oh…yeah…I took the tender home”

I didn’t comment back because now I hear CBC Joey pulling in. I guess they had a difference of opinion about something out there. Joey as the captain is responsible for the safety of the vessel and passengers, his decision always trumps that of the owner. So he quit this morning. It got heated and he’s gone…he was my security blanket. He left me some personal belongings he can’t take on a plane. I’ll bring them back to Florida when I go.

On my boat I had 2 guests for a 2 day stay. Boss was over them, and invited a 3rd guest. 3 women all wanting boat privileges is not a good combination. There was almost a brawl. Wake up to cigarette ashes all over (we don’t allow smoking, so there are no ash trays) matches flung everywhere, RED wine spilled everywhere. And boss goes to play tennis and I get to handle the arguing bitches and the mess. It’s 5:20pm. I’m exhausted mentally and physically and didn’t even get to my interior work…there’s always tomorrow….
