Remember when I was in yacht school? And I’d mentioned a girl that I got close to. She and I both had anxiety during the fire portion. She just text me today, that she got a job and is headed to my marina! I’m beyond excited. After leaving California behind, Florida was my new beginning, friends became my new family. Heather is my only connection to my new life, and I left her in Florida. To know that I’ll have “family” here is so exciting. She is just as excited. She’ll be here Friday. I’ll be in Nantucket for the next few days then…can’t wait to give her a huge hug and show my little town, and introduce her to my new friends.
My cute captain neighbor Joey and I finally got to have a good talk tonight. I’m finally connecting with people, which is what I love. Today was a 14 hour day…but it was balanced…and that makes it all ok. My boss and I laugh so hard, and I truly believe he considers me his friend, advice giver, and partner in crime…
