Nantucket

Didn’t get much sleep last night. We have a brand new boat, and my air conditioner has been out for a week. Because it’s an after market product and under warranty we have to get the company that installed it to work on it…then the generator won’t stay running. Again it has to be a Cummins mechanic or warranty voided. I’ve been sleeping with my door and windows open for cool air. So I get pretty good circulation. Last night the marina was full so we rented the fueling dock for the night which has no power. Boss thought he’d be fine with his portholes open. He got hot so he got up and started the generator. I’m smelling exhaust but too tired and lazy to get up.

Then I stop smelling it but start getting a headache. I kept thinking it was going to shut off any minute, but it just kept running. so I got my blankey and went upstairs. At about 2:30am we have a beeping alarm. I get up but it sounds like it’s coming from the marina and I hear people talking so I go back to bed. The beeping never stops and my alarm goes off at 5:45am. I figure out it is an alert in our boat. I think the batteries were getting so low that things were unable to transmit and receive information so alarms go off.

In this cute little town and have no energy to explore.
