And this is our home for the summer

Beautiful Swan that lives in front of my boat

Yesterday I washed and completely dried my GiGi. Did some laundry as well. My boss went to a friends house for the day. He came home this morning while I was drying the morning dew off of her before we head out. The sea was calm as a lake, I was able to get all of the inside wood polished as well as my normal chores. As we approached sag harbor, there were boats everywhere, which made the water rough. I noticed my boss slowing down when crossing a wake, so as to not splash salt water on my freshly cleaned girl. I thought that was so sweet

We pull in to our slip and I hear he has a friend with 2 little girls coming, as well as his grandson. We are taking them all out on the water. We leave about 2:00. So my already 8 hour day is not winding down anytime soon. We find a good spot, drop the anchor. The kids swim, fish and run amuck. Now I find that the adults are upstairs, I’m on the mid level and guess where all the kids are? None of them have talking voices, everyone is yelling, jumping on the white couches. They moved a chair down to the swim platform that is ready to get washed away by waves. I’m done. I did not sign up for all of this. I go to my room and chill until I hear the engines fire up. Now I go raise the anchor, clean the kitchen and prepare for travel. We get back about 6 and now I have to spray the salt water off and dry her again. I’m done at 8pm and I’m tired. He tells me you get the day off tomorrow! Wow my first day off in 16 days.

  1. Wow. You definitely deserve that day off after all if that. I wish you could get more days off after all the hard work you put in. 1 day in 16 days doesn’t seem right. 😰 I hope you can rest❤
