Laughing with the locals

Pool and clubhouse

I had to laugh last night. I was up at 6am as usual and finished with everything about 4. I ran into Davar on the dock and told him I was done. He said go enjoy your evening… I’ve got the boat. So I went back to the restaurant I was at last night, but I sat inside this time because it looked like rain. Then I thought…everything he’s taught me is VERY important. Like it’s VERY important to dry the dew off before the sun comes out in the morning to avoid water spots. It’s VERY important to dry the windows after it rains, to avoid water spots.

As I sit in the restaurant looking at my GiGi as it rains, I notice the rain has let up, and now it’s sunny. Davar said “I got this”. I waited, and I watched. I told the bar tender what I was watching. Now that it was sunny I went outside to finish my dinner and drinks. Guess what? Nobody worries about the water spots today. The bartender brought me my last drink and said enjoy cleaning those dirty windows when you get home!

They packed us in like sardines so we wanted to get off the dock before the channel got busy. Once we hit the Atlantic and seas are rough, there is not much I can do. So I took my spot on the couch at the back of the boat and napped. Pulled in to this cute place I will call home for 6 weeks in September. It’s definitely quieter than I’d hoped for. Ofcourse after a summer in the Hamptons I may need quiet! It’s called River Dunes Marina. Met two sets of locals that will be my great friends in a few months. The restaurant is closed tonight so my boss ran to town and is bringing me some dinner back! Goodnight y’all
