Finally a short work day

Working in dentistry. When I’d hire new girls who had years of experience and they would get frustrated because even though they knew dentistry well, things are still done so differently in each office it can leave you feeling inadequate. Some days I feel like that with my new job. My boss showed me the first day how he likes things done. So I pay attention and repeat exactly what he taught me. But there are factors that can change what I do.

The first day when I woke up before sunrise the whole boat, every reachable surface had to be dried from the night dew. Took about 2.5-3 hours. The routine changes if we’ve just washed the boat, if it rains, if the rain came from the ocean or inland. One is dirtier than the other. So I do what I think is right and it’s wrong. That is hard for someone who has been “right” for 35 years at work. But today. I woke up knowing we would be underway, therefore all I had to worry about was windows and interior. We did some engine room maintenance, before we left and when we left undocking was flawless. Got to our new place Hilton Head SC. Docking was flawless, I knew my chores, he threw in a few extra things for me to do, and by 3:00 I was done and off to see the sights. Perfect afternoon…until the storm came in…is it an ocean storm or inland storm?? HA HA

  1. So interesting. Do you use any kind of spray when wiping down, or just a certain kind of towel? Your brain is filling with all this new info (and maybe deleting crap you don’t need anymore?)
