I’ve gotten into such a routine being on the boat alone. I can switch gears and change plans when he notifies me guests will be arriving and we are taking the boat out…

The weather was finally amazing. My California friend Karlie and her daughter Kenna with her friend Joelle, we, thoroughly enjoyed the beach. I worked until 11, then met them for a beautiful sunny day.

Since my girls were here last week, and now my friends are here this week, it makes home seem like it’s not so far away.

It was such a wonderful 6 days, having them in my world. They got to meet my yacht family, see the beaches I hangout at, and experience my boat at sea.

I haven’t posted, because We’ve been busy seeing the sights. Rylee arrived Tuesday night. On Wednesday we visited Gila and Harvey on their yacht. Got a pedi, mani. Had a late lunch at Duffy s on the river. Then ate dinner in the artsy graffiti part of Miami

I was informed that repairs would be complete today around 11. Knowing how things can change “my” plans, I decided to get my Covid test for Bahamas, buy alcohol for this weekend, and return the Jeep to my marina so I don’t have to worry about that on the boat ride home

In this industry, I don’t claim to be an expert. But I have learned that acquaintances are connections and acquaintances can become friends and possibly your new family.

Repairs are supposed to be complete tomorrow. Which means boss needs to return to the boat to drive it back to Miami. But he has plans to go see his kids in Palm Beach, so the boat shall remain in the yard until he returns.

So…I’m trying to get all major things done before my kids get here next week. We’ve been saving so many little repairs for Florida…cause that’s where EVERY boat repair person is.

I think I’m more excited for my girls to see my world, than I am to take them to the Bahamas. To see them walk down my dock, or simply having coffee with me on the sun deck. Ah can’t wait.
