Pulled into coinjock marina. Front row dockage to the restaurant and bar that is world famous for its prime rib. As I toss our lines to the dock hands, one of them says “Lucy, you’re confusing me…really giving me mixed signals”. I look at him and wonder how he knows my nickname is Lucy. My boss feels so bad
It’s for sure…captain Billy will be onboard Saturday night for early Sunday morning departure. I start preparing food to set out, so as my friends come in from the water or pass by on the dock. They can stop for a bite and a drink and say goodbye.
…and goodbye
My last day here, changed a few times from last weekend to this Friday..to Sunday. Sounded pretty for sure Sunday. Capt billy would come aboard Saturday night, enjoy my going away shindig and we’d head out early Sunday morning.

I wanted to make sure and have Queen D Capt and crew over for dinner before I leave. Capt Russ said they have a few new crew members since I was last with them. As they are walking down the dock, I see a familiar face. Adrienne, first season below deck, chief stew. They comeContinue reading “…and the hostess of the year award goes to…”

New neighbors
So as I helped captain Harvey and chef Gila on their way out of sag harbor, hoping to see them again soon. I see the new yacht taking their place. I’m waxing my boat, blaring my throwback playlist for everyone to enjoy while working on their own yachts. Ofcourse everyone stops what they’re doing toContinue reading “New neighbors”
