I haven’t posted, because I’ve really been enjoying my family and friends, while winding down and making sure everything is set for my return to GiGi

My family and most of my friends love RV camping. It turned out that some friends had planned a camping weekend at my favorite beach. So I was able to visit with all of them in one location.

As I’m flying in to San Luis Obispo, I see Pismo Beach. Then streets I recognize, then buildings. My eyes well up with tears. As I walk towards my daughter Jenna in the airport, I see she is holding a sign. My teary eyes can’t read it, but I yell “yay, how sweet of you”.Continue reading “There’s no place like home”

My final week of being alone on the boat was to be spent in Jarret Bay, Beaufort, NC. The boat would get some maintenance and warranty work. It turns out, it will be hauled out of the water, and there are no restaurants near.

If something more exciting happens than waking up on a beautiful boat with beautiful scenery, doing chores, relaxing, drinking….I’ll post. I’m bored. Don’t need to bore y’all. You should get an email next time I’m on!

I’ve been on this boat long enough to have my own maintenance log schedule. Some things need to be done daily something’s weekly and something’s every three months…

I moved from crew quarters to one of the guest rooms, per bosses orders. The guest room has a sunroof so I can look at the beautiful moon and stars. I woke up at 6:30am. So dark outside. All of a sudden a bright star appears. I thought, what the heck is that?

Got up my first morning here. So quiet. Had my coffee. Then gave GiGi a good washing. She had a hard 3 days. By the time I finished around 2:30, I took a walk around this cute little village.
