Since giving my 2 weeks notice I’ve started to prepare for my transition. Boss comes back to Miami on Saturday, I think. I’ll need to return the items he asked me to remove from his house while the thief/guest was staying there. I’ll make arrangements for SAFE parking for the Jeep. I will fly toContinue reading “Next Chapter is Planned”

The GOOD the BAD and the UGLY
This blog was not about posting sunshine and rainbows…the struggles have been real and the rewards immense. But I sadly am a very proud person. Sometimes decisions are made based on that trait. Today may be one
The “one” thing I cannot seem to adapt to.
As I’ve said before…FLUIDITY…is a must for this industry. I was able to meet with some women in the industry last night, and it turns out the indecisiveness, last minute decisions, then change those decisions 3 times, is common in yachting
A little wind down time
I’m so happy. Many times, when I have time to just sit on the boat and relax, I find myself looking at details, spots I may have missed, something that needs to be done. Today, I finished the whole hand polish of the fiberglass. The chrome is sparkling. I worked about 4 hours this morning,Continue reading “A little wind down time”
A taste of reality
My boss hasn’t lived on the boat full time in 6 months. He’s not supposed to move back in for another 3 1/2 months. He brought one of our original guests, who moves in like she just lost her apartment and has nowhere to store anything. Trying to be more social
When I was in Sag Harbor, most Crew lived on their boats. So I had a group of friends to hang out with. My boss keeps encouraging me to venture out so I have a circleContinue reading “Trying to be more social”

And more family is In town!
Shanna and I grew up in Atascadero, California. She married my step brother Jim. They eventually moved their family to Oregon, so I’ve only seen them a handful of times in the past 20+ years. After their children grew up and started their lives, she followed her dream of being a flight attendant.
To go, or not to go, ha ha
I woke up this morning thinking we were headed to the Bahamas. Boss changed his mind again. He now wants to stay in this beautiful spot another evening. We enjoy the day with good conversation, food and wine. Head back to the marina in the morning. Today will be a long work day. Boat hasContinue reading “To go, or not to go, ha ha”
…Fluidity is my middle name
The Bahamas has been on my bosses mind. I did a Covid test…we didn’t go…I did a Covid test yesterday because he wants to go now. I provisioned the boat (5 different stores) to satisfy his needs for the next 5 days. And this morning he decides NOT to go. Then he decides to goContinue reading “…Fluidity is my middle name”
