Ofcourse the weather is gorgeous so I take the windows off the Jeep. I head across Florida through the Everglades. I saw more crocodiles along the road, than I did when I did an actual Everglades air boat tour. Some were sunbathing in peoples front yards!
Just passed that, there are signs warning of Panther crossing, beware! Then the next sign I see says picnicking and camping next. Umm what? No thank you. Pull over to have a snack and become a snack.
I stop in Marco Island and can’t find a beach bar or a beach, so I pull over. I hear an old lady riding her bicycle yelling angrily. “Did you lubricate me?” Her husband yells “what?” She yells louder. Then he yells “shit! Right now?” She said my bike is so squeaky, I don’t think you lubricated it!” 😂
Headed up to Naples. Felt like I was getting closer to what I’m looking for, but didn’t want to get too far away from home base. So I headed back. Stopped by GiGi to get my retainers that I accidentally left. Everyone was so excited to see me, it was great!
After I work the boat show this weekend. I’ll head up that coast and hopefully find a place to land for a while. I’ve also submitted my resume to several yachts, as season is almost here. No response from anyone. I think my age is a problem, until they meet me. my ex boss text me a few days ago and said your job is still here if you want it, after the boat show. I have that security blanket should nothing else pan out…gotta work!
