The weather was finally amazing. My California friend Karlie and her daughter Kenna with her friend Joelle, we, thoroughly enjoyed the beach. I worked until 11, then met them for a beautiful sunny day.
Went to the Boardwalk, had drinks and appetizers at Margaritaville, walked around some of the shops then enjoyed the sunshine. Made our California friends a bit jealous with pictures, as it raining there.
Then I get a call from one of the dock hands that his buddy needs someone to drive his 48ft boat. I explained. I’m not a captain. He says, but you drive GiGi? Well yes but I’ve slowly learned her. He says, I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t think you could do it.
I chickened out and used the excuse that I can’t commit cause my boss may decide to go out Sunday…
I’m bummed, the only way I’m gonna learn is to do, I walked over to the boat to check it out…nope, it’s too big. Give me a truck and a trailer, I’ll tow anything you got, but a boat needs some familiarity. He says he wants to text me Sunday morning, if I’m not out on the water, I’m captaining that boat 😳
