Since my girls were here last week, and now my friends are here this week, it makes home seem like it’s not so far away.
These friends are my vacation buddies. Our families have been traveling together for years. So I know they are not early risers. I have plenty of time to get my chores done in the morning, then meet up with them to enjoy the afternoon.
Today, they came to the boat so the girls could school/zoom. We laid out in the sun. They finished school and walked to the mall. I finished my chores, then met up with them. We did a little shopping, then we went to lunch at Duffy’s. I took Rylee there last week, she got to chatting with the waitress and they exchanged Instagram info. We had the same waitress today. She remembered me and what I wanted to drink. She took a picture of my drink and sent it to rylee and said momma bear is back. Ha ha.
Got dressed in warmer clothes and went to see the nightlife at Biscayne Bay. The vibe is so different because of Covid. It’s sad. We walked around, had an icecream and chatted.
Because I’m new to miami and don’t have a circle of friends yet, I don’t get out much and only know what I know. So I find myself taking them to the same places I took my girls.
Tomorrow we’ll go to the Boardwalk again. Atleast the weather will be warmer than it was last week and we can actually be in bathing suits and get in the water!
