We started the morning off with half of our problems fixed. But one of us wanted to focus on the one item not fixed. And it became a bigger issue than it needed to be. I was firm when I said give me a minute. He did, and all is well in the world.
Spent 2 hours on the phone with the level 2 expert trying to trouble shoot my second problem. He was stumped. Atleast I don’t feel dumb, If I’ve stumped the computer expert.
We arrived in Fort Pierce Florida. Wind was crazy, my poor boss trying to dock for fuel AND THEN dock for the night. Our thrusters were not strong enough to fight the wind. But he did it and we are secure. I’m soaking wet from the wind blowing my water back on me no matter what angle I spray.
As I walk to the restaurant, and the wind is blowing SO hard, I start to think. Am I a dumb California girl who doesn’t realize a HUGE storm is upon us. But Ofcourse I ignored that instinct and continued walking to the bar.
Kinda like when I took my children to Orlando Florida to Walt Disney world during hurricane charley. I called the front desk of our resort and said “I understand all of the parks are closed, but is there like a mall that’s enclosed where we can hang out and shop?” She said “mam. Where are you from?”- “California”- “this is a hurricane, all of the people who work at the mall have gone home to board up their windows and follow evacuation plans with their families” so they tell us to bring balcony furniture inside the room. We do that, and my children proceed to sit in the balcony taking pictures of their wind blown hair. Mother of the year award. Atleast our balcony furniture was safe
That is hilarious!
