Rough Seas

🤢 we came out of the Savannah inlet to find wind and currents NOT in our favor. I was sitting at the inside table doing some paperwork. All of a sudden I look out the front window and I see sky. Then it looks like the bow of the boat is going under. Then sky…

I frantically run around trying to stabilize anything that wants to slide. Bottles are clanging, boat is creaking. My stomach is blah. It was beautifully warm upstairs so boss drove from up there. He would come down every once in a while to find me still sitting. Focusing on the horizon. 7 hour trip. I just sat. Worthless.

He jokes with me, that we are returning to a familiar place and I’m not remembering. When we pull up, he says, “see, the restaurant you loved?” I die laughing, because if you all remember. I called Uber to take me to a restaurant that is across the street from the docks.

My sunset to you

So….I start rinsing/drying GiGi after her awful salty day. The sun is hot. So I do it In Sections. always work top down, front to back. Start at the top of the front windshield and dry it. Work my way down. Only one cloud in the sky and it produces sprinkles. Sun comes back out, I re-dry the windshield. Move on to the side. The dock hose I’m using has a leak and as I pull it around, the leak sprays the windshield. I Dry it for the 3rd time. Looking around to see if anyone is questioning how many times this dumb blonde needs to dry her own windshield.

Finally finish and would like to sit and relax with a glass of wine…but nope, I forgot, I’m also the guest. Boss says “ready in 25?” Umm ok. I wash my face, freshen up makeup, put my hair back in a pony. He comes out all dressed up and says I found this elegant place to take you. I’m like really? So we compromised and went to the restaurant across the street that I called Uber for last time. As we were leaving my boss called Uber for a ride home. 😂

Now it’s my relax time. To do it all over again tomorrow
