Flew into New Bern North Carolina. Stayed at the hotel I stayed at on my way out. Next morning, Arranging transportation to my car rental place, all Uber, Lyft and taxis are unavailable. It turns out this airport closes early for Halloween. So all flights in, are in the morning therefore cars are slim Pickens
Finally find a ride, arrive at my car rental place in Beaufort North Carolina, to discover that the representitive made my reservation for Beaufort South Carolina. And this location has nothing available. Uber my way to Gigi. She looks so sad up on those stilts
I give her a bath in the wind with dust blowing and stinky sulfur water at that. There is so much I want to do for her and my boss, as he returns Monday. He will inspect every detail. From rust on any screw, to dust in the engine room. So I wash her the best I could. Do a little on the inside and check into my hotel. My friends on “Dani” are here (the hoity toity ones) ha ha. And they have plans for us tonight for Halloween. Ofcourse I have no costume so when we get there. I borrow a piece from each patron and make my own costume
I miss my family but am so thankful to have these friends on this journey
